The 1x1art project is in every way unique and exciting, except in the ways one might traditionally assume. We are by no means the first to come up with idea, nor do we suspect to be the last. Instead we hope to carry on the long, sordid tradition of selling useless nick-knacks to people who are shamelessly attracted to that sort of thing, particularly when dispensed from a shiny metal and admittedly sharp vending machines.

We have little or no illusion of living the good life, sustaining a drug habit or even making our money back with such a scheme. Instead, we aim to spread the good news of St. Louis artists to those who might otherwise be oblivious to the talent oozing out of this fine town. If you don’t believe us, we’ll be happy to provide documented proof of how we could better spend our hard earned cash.
